  • Work with W.A.C.E. president to roll out an assistance program to "invest" in strengthening chambers in the West.



Cindy Roth, ACE, Riverside CA Chambers of Commerce

  • Chair the Nominating Committee for association directors and officers

  • Coordinate the goal setting session in October in Long Beach to outline the association’s program priorities

  • Serve as liaison to the Academy Steering Committee.

  • Coordinate non-conference training opportunities including the Senior Execs Roundtable, Academy-Plus and the Fall webinar series.



Betty Nokes, Bellevue WA Chamber of Commerce

  • Take the tool kit "off the shelf" - update the language, re-name, re-brand, and expand delivery methods to get it in front of association members at every turn.



Simon Brackley, Santa Fe NM Chamber of Commerce

  • Work with state and regional associations to improve relationships and investigate working together to provide training for chamber volunteer leaders.



Mike McLaran, Salem OR Chamber of Commerce

  • Chair the Program Committee for the 2011 annual conference to be held at the Los Angeles Airport Marriott.



Tom Pierson, ACE, Federal Way WA Chamber of Commerce

  • Improve technology usage to promote connections among members and work to enhance and expand the Resource Library on the WACE web site.

  • Assist members in developing job creation/retention program options that will help chambers strengthen their local economies.



Diane Schwenke, ACE, Grand Junction CO Chamber of Commerce

  • Re-do Charlton Research and then move forward with helping chambers successfully implement core competencies - end result: book to be published by 2012 conference.

  • Continue to enhance web site – www.waceonline.com

  • Produce a monthly 4-color newsletter – Insider – electronic and print versions

  • Regular electronic polling of association members on chamber issues and trends

  • Chamber Survey Central – e-surveys for W.A.C.E. Members

  • Annual CEO salary & benefits survey

  • Annual membership retention survey

  • Annual technology survey

  • Extensive awards and recognition programs

  • Monthly “Career Opportunity Bulletin”

  • Salary & benefits survey for key staff positions

  • Executive & Chamber assistance programs including executive search, retreat facilitators & mentoring.
