W.A.C.E.’s “Leader to Leader” column poses timely questions to Chamber leaders across the Western region to provide valuable insight and ideas to our readers. This month, we asked: “Share how your Chamber is 1) reinforcing their position as a trusted source in their community, and 2) leveraging that position to keep members informed on what's real (vs what's media hype) in today's quickly changing environment.” W.A.C.E. recently connected with a number of Chamber industry professionals for an impactful Executive Workshop, "Leading Forward: Bold Relevance for Chambers in a Rapidly Changing World". Held on May 15, 2025, at The Leta Hotel in Goleta, CA, this session was crafted to equip Chamber leaders with the cutting-edge strategies needed to navigate today's increasingly complex landscape. It was a day focused on mastering communication and maintaining our relevance, no matter the challenges ahead. Several years ago, W.A.C.E. partnered with the Insurance Institute for Business & Home Safety to make available resources that Chambers could share with their businesses about disaster preparedness. Over time, best practices and resources evolved and the document in the Resource Library became outdated. The W.A.C.E. Educational Foundation announced the selection of 20 individuals as recipients of a $500 scholarship for the 2025 W.A.C.E. Academy. Those selected include:
