The W.A.C.E. Board is pleased to share that the popular Fall Webinar series will be returning in 2024.   Under the leadership of Board Vice Chair Zeb Welborn (Chino Valley Chamber), the series will feature four programs designed to help Chambers identify ways to address member and community needs by highlighting high quality programs being offered by their peers.

"The W.A.C.E. Webinar Series is an important tool in delivering on W.A.C.E.'s promise to help all Chambers elevate their game locally," shared President & CEO Glenn Morris.   "We recognize that not every member chamber can attend an in-person workshop or conference - or at least won't be able to bring the entire team - but the webinars are accessible to all members."
The 2024 webinars will be offered on the first Wednesday of each month from September to December.   Program details and registration instructions will be shared shortly, but the topics being developed include the following:
  • Advocacy Beyond Politics: Partnering with Elected Officials: This session will highlight the importance of working alongside elected officials and key staff to achieve results on behalf of your members.  The presentations will emphasize how chambers can build effective partnerships with policymakers and key decision makers to represent their communities and drive meaningful change without being overtly political.
  • Crafting Career Readiness: The Chamber's Role in Education: Discover how chambers can collaborate with educational institutions to develop curricula that prepare the future workforce.  This webinar will focus on strategies for fostering partnerships, identifying industry needs, and creating programs that equip students with essential skills.
  • Tackling Big Things : Chamber Responses to Major Issues: Does it seem like every year presents a new massive challenge to your businesses' success?   Retail theft, mandatory wage increases, extended road closures, and recovery from natural disasters are just some recent examples.   When significant challenges like these and others arise, how does your chamber respond?   This session will examine best practices for crisis management, including communication strategies, community support, and leveraging resources to navigate and mitigate crises effectively.
  • Inclusive Economic Development: Fostering Growth Across the Community: This session will help chambers understand the broader impacts of economic development and how to ensure it benefits all community segments.  Presentations will explore inclusive economic strategies, addressing disparities, and promoting equitable growth through chamber initiatives.

Finally, as part of the new W.A.C.E. membership tier model, the pricing of the Webinar Series is being reduced significantly. With a retail price of $150 for the full series, Tier 1 member chambers will be able to purchase the series at 50% or just $75.   Tier 2 and Tier 3 member chambers will be able to register for the series at no cost!

Stay tuned for additional details!
