The Board’s Executive Committee recently approved the appointment of the following individuals to serve as members of the 2024 Nominating Committee:
“The W.A.C.E. Board is essential in providing direction for our association and ensuring we stay true to our mission and our members’ needs,” said president & CEO Glenn Morris. “Moving forward, having a board that is representative of our membership, with a wide range of experiences and perspectives will allow us to align our programs and services to ensure continued relevance and value.”
The Nominating Committee will meet over the next several weeks to determine how many seats are open on the Board, develop a list of qualified candidates, and ultimately recommend a slate of candidates. Chief Staff Officers of Chambers that are members in good standing of W.A.C.E. are eligible to serve on the Board. Board members are elected to terms of three years and may serve two consecutive terms. Individuals who are interested in being considered for appointment to the Board should notify both John Brewer ([email protected]) and Glenn Morris ([email protected]) as soon as possible. The Nominating Committee will share its recommended slate of Board candidates to the membership in early December. Members may then make additional nominations should they disagree with the committee’s slate. If no additional nominations are received, the recommended slate will be approved by voice vote during the Business Meeting at the Annual Conference.
